Portal inventory
The Inventory screen shows a customer how much of each of their products you hold, depot by depot. It is read-only: nothing on it can be changed from the portal.
Where to find it: Portal > Inventory (/portal/inventory on your workspace address), or the Inventory card on the portal Dashboard.
Who can use it: every portal role - Customer admin, Customer member and Customer viewer.
When customers use this
Section titled “When customers use this”- Check there is enough stock before placing an order.
- See how much is already reserved for their open orders.
- Spot damaged stock that needs a decision.
Columns
Section titled “Columns”“Your stock held across our depots.” One row per product per depot, so a product held in two depots has two rows.
| Column | What it means | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Product | The product code. | Matches the codes on the customer’s own paperwork. |
| Depot | Which of your depots holds the stock. It is shown as an internal reference rather than the depot’s name. | Stock in different depots may be delivered from different places. |
| Available | Units in stock and free to be ordered. | This is what a new order can reserve straight away. The same figure appears beside each product on the new order form. |
| Assigned | Units already reserved for the customer’s orders but not yet sent. | Still in your warehouse, but promised to an order. |
| Damaged | Units recorded as damaged. | Not available for orders. The customer may want to arrange a return or write-off with you. |
If nothing has been recorded yet the table says “No stock on record yet.”
Tips and common mistakes
Section titled “Tips and common mistakes”- Stock only appears here once it has been received at your warehouse. Goods on an open manifest that have not been scanned in are not counted.
- The figures are the same ones your own team sees in Warehouse > Manage Stock, so if a customer questions a number you can check it there.
- Archived products are not shown.
